Southeast Asian property portal iProperty has released a statement claiming once again that it is Malaysia's top property portal. The portal claims that users over 25 years of age spend on average 31% more time on iProperty than on its nearest competitor. Speaking around his company's fresh claims, newly appointed General Manager Shylendra Nathan said:

“We are delighted that despite the impact of COVID-19, iProperty.com.my has continued as Malaysia’s No.1 Property Site according to Comscore, a third-party media measurement and analytics company.”

“The success of iProperty.com.my as Malaysia’s No.1 Property Site with the most visits can be attributed to our ongoing focus to provide the best consumer experiences and excellent customer value, not forgetting the strong support we get from our consumers and customers”

Today's press release also claims that iProperty is the top portal destination by traffic according to third-party data provider Comscore MMX. The same third-party company's data was cited by PropertyGuru in its January press release which kicked off the latest round of the PR battle between the two portal companies.

Today's press release is just the latest in a series of tit for tat claims made by REA Group-owned iProperty Malaysia (which is managed separately from the Singaporean and Indonesian portals of the same name) and eternal rival PropertyGuru which have cited various different sources and used different metrics to claim top spot in the highly competitive Malaysian market:
